Key Goal
Key responsibilities include selecting and onboarding vendors, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms, and regularly assessing vendor performance through established metrics. The Vendor Manager also plays a crucial role in risk management by identifying potential issues within vendor partnerships and developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, this position requires effective communication skills to foster strong relationships with vendors and ensure alignment with the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities (Managerial & Operational)
Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on organizational needs.
Establish criteria for vendor selection based on quality, cost, delivery time, and service.
Detailed analysis and research of requirements, processes, product lines, programs and capabilities of vendors for which you are responsible.
Providing of presentations and trainings on products and solutions of vendors for sales managers with the involvement of team members and colleagues.
Organizing presentation webinars for customers.
Coordinate vendor contracts and new vendor set-up documentation.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Maintaining registrations and follow-up vendor deal registrations.
Orders placement and tracking.
Building and promote strong, long-lasting relations with business partners and vendors to ensure service excellence. Always adhere to the quality standards of customer service. Organizing of events, taking part (presentations/trainings) in partners’ relevant events.
Monitor vendor performance through regular assessments.
Obtaining optimal commercial conditions from business partners and vendors.
Periodically review vendor contracts and performance.
Determine whether to renew contracts, renegotiate terms, or seek alternative vendors.
Identify potential risks associated with vendor partnerships and develop mitigation strategies.
Prevent situations and actions that could damage the company's image and business reputation.
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance, legal) to align vendor strategies with business objectives.
Assistance to Account Sales Managers in working with clients in current work issues.
Informing team about new products, solutions, services, opportunities and procedures.
Development of marketing activities together with the marketing manager of the company.
Achieving goals and targets.
Oversee vendor budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance and compliance.
Preparation of reports on the work done.
Execution of instructions and tasks of management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a similar role
In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
Excellent communication and leadership skills Organizational and time-management skills Decision-making skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional) is plus
